Are You Ready for the Fourth Industrial Revolution??
Accenture’s retraining model may work for many companies. Take a look at this article:
“Millions of workers around the world are going to be affected, if they haven't already, by years of significant technological changes that the World Economic Forum has dubbed the "Fourth Industrial Revolution."
At Business Insider's panel at WEF's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland in January, labor leaders and executives agreed that for companies to thrive and not leave their employees behind, a focus on internal job-retraining programs would be essential.”
Accenture’s article outlines the need for a good reskilling plan for companies and that the training has to be coupled with an implementation immediately following it so that the reskilling will be effective. They also talk about the reskilling as an employee retention tool and the fact that college grads need to know that this reskilling will go on again and again in their career. New Grads degree is not enough going forward in today’s work world.

In our March newsletter, we talked about the 4 major concerns of small business owners….did you catch the article? Do you have one of those concerns OR do you have other things that keep you up at night??
According to SCORE website “82% of small businesses fail due to (poor) CASH FLOW…and how to avoid it”.
Since cash flow is king, do you need help in your small business to understand, track and obtain a line of credit…when you don’t need it, so that you can access it during growth and tight cash flow…when you DO need it??
Good compliance can help a small business owner sleep better at night. I know that it did in my own business, especially when we had a staffing model. With more than 125 field employees, we got audits from the government on I9's and other things. Most were without notice. We did pass muster due to our keen due diligence with our HR compliance methods. My HR Generalist would come to me a day or so after an audit, just to update me and let me know that we had passed.
An overview of employment recordkeeping, posters, company handbook and policies is a good start. Please let me know if you would like a review. It is a good insurance policy for every small business. Especially if you have a new person in charge of your recordkeeping/I’9s etc., it is a good time to have a review.
I have seen cases where the former employee and the new employee follow different systems and sometimes one or both are not in compliance. In the case of a company merger or new owner, the new owner may want to have a review done prior to taking over or immediately following the purchase of the small business to ensure they are not inheriting a can of worms.
